In a spell-binding thread, the members of a subreddit, which is focused on UFO and alien activity, have revealed their own close encounters of the third kind. And with more than a million members in the group, which pulls through global extraterrestrial goings on, there were plenty willing to offer up their stories without fear of judgement from their fellow other worldly fanatics. The OP said the thread was just to find out what really sold the idea that aliens were real to them.
And there was no shortage of responses from people who often claimed to have had first hand experiences.
One user wrote: "Seeing a UFO with my own two eyes. It was very close and my friend was with me. I don’t need any more evidence that NHI are real."
Another chimed in: "Same here. With a friend. We saw two of them. If it’s not NHI then humans have some amazing tech that can move very fast without making a sound and is for some reason producing some interesting light shows that’s been kept very secret. If you read back into the history of this phenomenon people have been reporting it since at least the 1940s. It seems even more far fetched we had this tech back then."
A third said: "Had a green orb pace my car in 2006 and flew off at incredible speed and made a 90-degree turn before shooting directly up into the sky. Been a believer ever since."
While a fourth admitted to thinking their may have been something out there, but was skeptical believing there was an easy explanation.
That was until an experience a couple of summers ago. The user wrote: "I was star-gazing around a campfire with a friend and saw one. I can only describe it as we saw something that is absolutely impossible.
"What initially caught our eye was a distant point of light appearing over the horizon. Over the next three or four seconds this light had grown so bright heading right towards us and the body of water (bay) we were overlooking. It was just after midnight. It lit up the entire bay.
"The way that it was 'flying/traveling' made absolutely no sense. It just looked like a bright blueish white orb of light. Once it was in the bay, it made a zig-zag like a laser pointer moving across a wall and then rested momentarily just above the surface of the water.
"The split second that it was at the surface was just enough time for us to see the light reflecting off the water and back onto what was clearly a physical metal object of some sort. And just another split second later, it instantaneously accelerated (like warp-speed) up into the sky/space and just disappeared.
"This entire event happened over the course of maybe five or six seconds. Something that we initially thought was a shooting star was all of a sudden in the bay in front of us and then boom back into space.
